Hair loss is a sensitive issue for men and women. While medical-based products like Rogaine (over-the-counter) and Propecia (requires a prescription) have proven effective for some people, they can be quite costly. Fortunately, there are natural hair loss remedies that are easy to use and they work for men and women.
Amla
1. Boiling dry pieces of amla in coconut oil is thought of as a valuable hair tonic, once placed on the scalp. Also, mixing amla juice and lime juice and using it as a shampoo is also known to stimulate hair growth and stymie hair loss. Mixing coconut oil with lime juice and placing it on the head is also known to prevent hair loss.
Mustard Oil
2. Boiling 250 grams of mustard oil with 100 grams of henna leaves and placing on the scalp is regarded as a natural hair loss remedy. Also, rubbing coconut milk all over the scalp or over the balding areas is regarded as a natural hair loss preventative.
Homemade Pastes
3. Washing the hair with a blended paste of cooked black gram dal and fenugreek lengthens the hair and is also regarded as a hair loss preventative. Meanwhile, a paste of pigeon pea or red gram can be applied to the scalp for similar results. Meanwhile, blending hot olive oil, honey and one tsp. of cinnamon powder and applying it to the scalp for approximately 15 minutes, is believed to prevent baldness.
In addition, a paste concocted from the seeds of lemon and black pepper can in some cases help prevent hair loss when rubbed on the scalp.
Homemade Conditioners
4. Hot oil conditioner can be made by heating a small bowl of olive oil and rubbing it thoroughly into the scalp. Comb it through, then massage it in and leave it in overnight, then wash out the following morning with a mild shampoo.
Meanwhile, Southernwood tonic can be made by pouring 5 tsps. of Southernwood infusion into a bottle and shaking well. From there, dilute this tonic with 1 tbsp. of water and massage into the scalp twice weekly.

Maybe you’re thinking “that’s just the way it is, all the men in my family lose their hair early”. Well the truth is you don’t have to be like all the men in your family, it is possible to halt and even reverse hair loss in both men and women, with natural hair loss remedies.
Not too long ago, just 20 years men and women who suffered thinning had few if any options open to them to treat this condition. It is estimated that 40% of men will have noticeable thinning by age 35, 65% by age 60 and 80% by age 80. Of those suffering hair loss almost half 47% would spend their life savings to regain a full head of hair.
But what if you could re-grow your lost hair and help prevent further thinning using a natural hair loss remedy, and what if I told you this could be accomplished without spending the estimated $30,000 it would cost for hair replacement surgery.
Clinical trials have proven that certain topical and oral hair treatments due in-fact work, and that in a large percentage of cases of both male and female pattern baldness replacement surgery are not necessary. I’m not going to claim that all causes of baldness or thinning can be cured or reversed by treatments other then surgery, but I think you owe it to yourself to explore all the available options open to you before you consider expensive surgical interventions.
How to treat hair loss:
Basically other then replacement surgery, the trick to treating hair loss is to use a clinically proven product that is designed to stop hair loss and to re-grow hair. Propecia and Minoxidil are the only products clinically proven and medically approved for the treatment of hair loss, and of these only products with Minoxidil are available to purchase without a prescription. In recent clinical survey male users of Minoxidil based products experienced the following results:
65% maintained or increased their hair count from the use of Minoxidil 46% showed stabilization or some hair re-growth 54% showed moderate to dense re-growth of hair
Studies have shown these products DO work in a large percentage of cases. Ok so how long before you’ll start to see results? There is no predefined “exact” estimate of how long it will take for a treatment to work for you. Results will vary depending on various factors related to your personal lifestyle, diet and habits. However it is recommended that you use a product for at least 4-6 months. Drastic results are common for 6+ months of treatments.
To obtain the best results with any treatment, you want to ensure that the products you use feature the clinically tested ingredient Minoxidil approved by the FDA to help re-grow your hair.
